Open forum

Just turn up to our FREE Open Forum meetings and listen to interesting and informative speakers, as well as lively debate and discussion. Our meetings are aimed at the over 55s, but everyone, of all ages, is welcome to attend. We are an inclusive organisation.

Recent speakers have included a trio of Mayors: The Lord Mayor of Bristol (Cllr Jos Clark, our President), the Mayor of Bristol (Marvin Rees), and the West of England Mayor (Tim Bowles). We have had many other speakers on a range of topics including recently Clean Air, Dementia, pavement parking and Equalities issues.

The meetings are held about 6 times a year on Thursdays between 10.30am and 12.30pm, at Broadmead Baptist Church (Main Hall, 1st floor), Union Street (next to Tesco Express), Bristol, BS1 3HY. This venue is located in the city centre and is accessible. There is a lift to the main hall on the first floor.
